3 Manly Movies on Netflix That Are Actually Worth Watching

Netflix users are known for having a love-hate relationship with their streaming service. On one hand, you get a few good movies that are instantly accessible, some interesting documentaries, and maybe House of Cards (if you haven’t yet, drop everything and watch it).

But the truth is, 90% of the Netflix library is either C rated movies or higher-quality flicks that can’t keep a man’s attention. So next time you’re looking to light up and enjoy a show, here are three good options:

1. Ironclad

Starring James Purefoy as a Knight Templar back from the Crusades and wrestling with his faith and Paul Giamatti as the tyrannical Prince John, Ironclad is an independently made hard as nails hack and slash movie. Purefoy must lead six other warriors in defense of Rochester Castle against Prince John and his horde of Nordic mercenaries. Get ready for some insanely gritty swordfights–this is a straight up brawl in the tradition of Braveheart but without the long runtime.

2. Snatch

The Guy Ritchie movie that started it all. Brad Pitt is a bareknuckle gypsy boxer, Jason Statham is a boxing promoter, and they get involved in a diamond heist which all the gangsters from the U.S. to Russia want a piece of. Watching this movie will make you want to take risks and spit game.

3. El Dorado

This is an oldie but a goodie–a classic Western starring John Wayne and Robert Mitchum. The West–where men were men, and apparently everyone smoked cigars, drank constantly, and owned multiple firearms.

You won’t be disappointed.
