Penelope Bourbon’s Innovative Tokaji Cask Finish Returns

Penelope Bourbon has reintroduced its Tokaji Cask Finish, a small-batch straight rye whiskey, to the market in February 2024. With a production limited to 1,900 cases, this unique variant is aged for eight years and boasts a rich profile influenced by Tokaji wine casks from Hungary.

The whiskey, distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled at 106 proof, features a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It delivers a complex array of flavors including dark chocolate-covered raisins, sweet honey, and a savory finish of black cherry and tobacco.

Following its previous success, the Tokaji Cask Finish aims to continue Penelope Bourbon’s tradition of crafting distinctive, award-winning spirits.
